Care & Maintenance
SOLUTION DYED ACRYLIC FABRICS
(Solids and Stripes) Spot clean dirt with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, then air-dry. To clean mildew stains, in a ventilated area, prepare a mild solution of one cup bleach, plus two capfuls full of a natural soap per gallon of water. Spray the entire area, and scrub vigorously if necessary. You may wish to spray the fabric with Scotchguard after washing.
POLYESTER PRINTS FABRICS
A soapy solution of Ivory Liquid and lukewarm water will remove common dirt. DO NOT USE BLEACH OR OTHER HARSH DETERGENTS. DO NOT PLACE IN DRYER.
PVC/ACRYLIC BLEND FABRICS
Dirt can be removed with a soapy solution of warm water and Ivory Liquid. Do not use pine oil cleaners. Rinse and allow to dry.
TELAWEAVE MESH
Soak the entire area with warm water and detergent. A small amount of chlorine bleach can be added to remove stubborn stains.
OLEFINS
Use a mild detergent such as Ivory Liquid and water. Chlorine bleach can be used on stubborn stains.
ALUMINUM FRAMES, INCLUDING POWDER-COAT
To keep furniture looking new, use Soft Scrub or similar non-abrasive products to remove scuff marks and scratches. Non-textured frames should be waxed once or twice a year with an automobile paste wax to maintain luster. Wax will make washing and cleaning easier. Do not use paste wax on textured finishes. Instead use lemon oil for protection and lemon soap and water for cleaning.
PVC STRAP FURNITURE
Telescope's Straps can be cleaned using a soapy solution of warm water and Ivory liquid. Hose down to rinse and DO NOT USE pine oil cleansers or harsh abrasives. Straps can be easily replace by the consumer by heating the strap in hot water and attaching it to the frame while hot. As the straps cool down, they will shrink for a snug fit.
WINTER MAINTENANCE
Furniture that will be stored outside or in other cold areas should be drained of any water to avoid ice damage in the tubing. |
